SUMMER 2009 REPORT
Thanks to Stephen Milne, Carol Massie, Peter Ritchie and Graeme Clark for being a starter for one of races and to Sandra 
who started the rest of the races. (Hope I haven't missed out anyone.
36 runners competed in the 12 Summer Races. 18 runners had P.Bs during the season which was excellent.

CATHERINE MITCHELL   Catherine has been top off the league from the 4th race onwards, even though she missed the  53
7races  6 places 7,8th and 9th races. Her race times improved by over 6 and 1/2 minutes during the year. 5 P.Bs during   
    the year. Keep the training up with Carol. Winner of the 5th race.  
ALEC WATT   Alecs best season so far. He has had 3 P.Bs during the year with his best run in the 9th race 40
10races  7 places which he came in first. Think you can do the business in the Winter. Winner of the 9th race.  
HANNAH LAWRANCE   Great first season improving her times by 7minutes and 20 seconds. She has won 3 races during the 36
7 races 5 places season which I dont think has been done before? You will need to up the training as it will get  
    a lot harder to stay in the top 3 in the winter.Winner of races 7,10 and 11.  
CHARLIE NOBLE   Good season for Charlie who has had a niggling injury for most of the year. His best 36
9 races 7 places finish in the Handicap section for a few years. Maybe time to start cutting back a bit Charlie   
    Winner of the 3rd race. 2nd in the Mens Scratch. 4 best Scratch Times Total 2hrs 22mins 26secs.  
STEPHEN FINDLAY   Stephen only started running from the 4th race and has had 3 P.Bs this season. Should be a 35
6 races  5 places main contender in the Winter if runs regularly.  
STUART DICKSON   Cracking 1st season for Stuart getting in the points in every race he competed in. 3 P.Bs during 34
6 races 6 places the season with an improvement of 3 minutes and 17 secs. Time to start pushing Kevin to be top dog.  
    Winner of the 6th race. 3rd in the mens Scratch. 4 best times 2hrs 24mins 10seconds  
DAVID WILSON   David had a great start to the season with 3 P.Bs which was followed by another in the 11th race. 34
10races  6 places Consistent times in all of the races and he is in the top 5 scratch runners. Keep it going David but   
    watch you dinna over train.  
JAYNE WATT   Good season for Jayne with her best performances in the 8th race which she won and the last 30
9 races 5 places race coming in second. Jayne also managed 3 P.Bs during the season.   
    Time to step up a gear Jayne and go for the top 3 in the Winter. Winner of the 8th race.  
ALISON WEST   Good season for Alison with her best performace coming in the second race which she won. 29
9 races 5 places Missed the last few races of the season but will hopefully be back running in the winter.  
    Once you are back to fitness stick in and win a few races. Winner of the 2nd race.   
STEPHEN BUCHAN   Stephen started the season off well coming in 1st in the first race . Missed out on a couple of  29
9 races 5 places races which you would expect when  you get to his age!!! Keep the training up Stephen, there always   
    should be a BUCHAN in the top3. Winner of the 1st race.  
GILLIAN STRACHAN   Some really good performances during the season. Her best run came in the 4th race getting a P.B. 28
9 races 7 places Expecting Gillian to be in the Top 3 in the Winter. 2nd in the Ladies scratch 2 hrs 30 mins 26 secs.  
CAROL MASSIE   Good start and finish to the season for Carol but struggled in the middle as she wis na feelin 26
7 races 4 places afa good but still managed to run. Think there is better to come in the Winter!!  
ROBBIE YOUNGSON   An injury early on in the season ment Robbie couldn't race in a few races. Best performance was 25
6 races 5 places in the first race coming in second. Dinna over train when you make your comeback!!!  
ALLAN WATT   Consistent runs from Allan all season with his best performance coming in the 4th race 22
9 races 4 places coming in first. Think you can improve a fair bit yet Allan.    Winner of the 4th race.   
GORDON McALLISTER Gordon only managed 4 races during the season but managed a P.B. for each race which is  21
4 races  4 places some achievement. Gordon also came in 2nd in the Mormond Hill Challenge with another a P.B.  
    Keep it going Gordon and keep the youngsters in their place.  
STEPHEN MILNE   Stephen run regularly during the season but surpisingly only manged to get points in 3 races. 19
9races  3 places Best performance came in the 9th race finishing 3rd. Should win at least 1 race in the Winter???  
ELAINE WHYTE   Consistent times in all of the races just missing out on the points in a few races. Top lady in the 19
9 races 9 places Scratch section and  with Gillian closing the time gap it will make it more competitive in the Winter.   
  Elaine was the first lady home in the Mormond Hill Challenge coming in 3rd in the race.  
  Keep the training up Elaine as Gillians getting close to your times.  
    1st in the Ladies Scratch. 4 best Scratch Times Total 2hrs 27mins 34secs.  
GRAEME SINCLAIR   2 P. Bs in 3 races and still likely to improve a lot in the Winter. He will be one of the favourites  19
3 races 2 places for the Winter league providing he disna dee to much fitba training on Tuesdays.Winner of the 12th race. 
SANDRA MILNE   Sandra had a great start to the season with 3 P.Bs in the first 4 races. Hopefully there will be  18
5 races  3 places more Starters for the Winter Races and Sandra can compete more.  
ALLY MATHERS   Great start to the season with a P.B. in the second race 35:55. Struggled mid-season in the heat 18
10 races 4 places but finished the season with a couple of good runs. Likely to be in the top 3 in the Winter.  
    Its time you was back challenging the top dogs again.  
JOYCE RITCHIE   Joyce only ran in the 6th and 7th races but got points in both. Hopefully she will turn up regularly 17
2 races 2 places in the Winter  
ANDREW WEST   Only manged 3 races but got points in all of them. Needs to get a job with more time off !!! so he 15
3 races 3 places can compete more.  
MARK CALDWELL   Best race for Mark was in the 8th race getting an excellent  P.B.  35 minutes and 56 seconds.  12
5 races 3 places Mark also won the Mormond Hill Challenge coming home well clear of the field.   
SCOTT GIBB   Started the season well with a P.B. in the 3rd race then missed a few races at the end of the  12
5 races 3 places season possibly due to injury? Think there's better to come from Scott yet.  
ANDY HIGGINS   Andy had a good start to the season with 2 places in the first 2 races then missed a few races 10
4 races 2 places I think due to work requirements. Always runs well when he turns up so hopefully will see more  
    of Andy in the Winter.  
JIM BOWIE   Jim always gives 100% and his best time came in the 4th race which he finished in 2nd place  9
4 races  1 place just missing out on a P.B. by 3 secs.  
PETER RITCHIE   Peter only managed 4 races getting points in the 8th and 9th races. Hope the leg injury clears up 9
4 races  2 places and he's back competing in the Winter.  
KEVIN KING    Kevin only started competing from the 9th race and had an excellent time in the 11th race of  6
4 races 2 places 34 mins and 5 secs the second best time for the season.  
    1st in the Mens Scratch. 4 best Scratch Times Total 2hrs 19mins 36secs.  
MAUREEN MATHERS   Maureen run in the first 6 races then didn't manage to race after that. Hope we see her back  4
6 races 2 places running in the Winter.  
LISA STEPHEN   Lisa's times were a bit up and down during the season. Best time came in the 6th race with a P.B. 3
8 races  1 place Just missed out in the points in a few races. Expecting to see you back challenging for the top 3 in the   
    Winter. 3rd in the Ladies Scratch 4 best Scratch Times Total 2:35:19  
KEITH BUCHAN   Keith only managed the one race but still had the best scratch time for the season at 34mins  3
1 race  1 place and 02 secs.  
Hope to see a big turn out in the Winter Races.
